Atlas Jazz with Anna Givens

Paul DeVee has been a sought after reed man in the Detroit and Southeastern Michigan area for years.  He's played sax, flute, and clarinet in a variety of groups ranging from Motown Orchestras to intimate classical chamber music ensembles and just about everything in between.  We met when he joined Jeff McDonald's Swingmania Big Band where I was (still am!) the resident female vocalist.  Paul joined to play lead alto saxophone, flute, and clarinet.  He and I shared some great moments on tunes such as "Cry Me A River" and "Why Don't You Do Right".  I asked him to play with my jazz all-stars band in July of 2013 at the Sandusky State Theatre and he accepted.  We had a great night playing to a sold out house.  He surprised me a couple of weeks later when he called to invite me to join his smooth jazz outfit, "Atlas Jazz", which features a wide variety of musical styles and hot players.
